Judy C. Guevara
Judy Carolina Guevara Amaya is a postdoctoral researcher in federated learning at the Artificial Intelligence Hub for Health and Wellbeing (Viva-Bem) at the University of Campinas (Unicamp). She received her Control Engineer (2009), MSc in Information and Communication Sciences (2012), from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Colombia. Finally, she earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Campinas, Brazil, in 2022.
She has held technical and managerial positions in electronic, control, and telecommunication companies and was a professor in the Departments of Software and Electronic Engineering at Universidad Manuela Beltrán, Colombia.
Judy Guevara has been a member of various research groups such as the Computer Networks Laboratory (LRC) of the Institute of Computing at Unicamp, Brazil, and ROMA, GITUD, and IDEAS at the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, Colombia.
Dr. Judy has been awarded various fellowships thus far, including the Young Researchers and Innovators “Virginia Gutiérrez de Pineda” (2010), CNPq-TWAS (2014), UNIVESP-UNICAMP (2020), and São Paulo Research Foundation (Fapesp) TT4 in 2021. She also received the award for teaching excellence (2014) from the Universidad Manuela Beltrán. Her interests include Federated Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud/Fog/Edge Computing, and Task scheduling.
